Mountain Holly Quilters Shop Challenge
Welcome to the Mountain Holly Shop Challenge. This year we are thinking out of the box, and in conjunction with the Hoffman Challenge, have decided to have our own shop challenge. We have decided to use the Hoffman Challenge Peacook piece as our main fabric. This way, you can also use your entry for the 2008 Hoffman Challenge. Our challenge rules are simple. You must use a recognizable amount of the 2008 Hoffman Challenge Peacock, and it must be an intergal part of the entry, and it must appear in the quilt, not just in the border. The quilt can be of any shape, but the combined total of all sides of the quilt cannot be less than 72 inches nor more than 160 inches. (For example an 18" x 18" quilt equals 72:, 40" x 40" quilt equals 160"). A fabric identification label must be securely fastened to a bottom back corner of the quilt. The quilts must be completed by May 5th, and will be displayed in the shop prior to voting. We will take into account the votes of our customers, they can caste a ballot while in the store.The Quilts will also be judged by our experienced Long arm quilters, and by 2 experienced quilters. Grand Prize: will be the stand alone Huskystar EM10 Embroidery machine. Second Prize: $50.00 Gift Certificate Third Prize: Fabric Award Call Mountain Holly Quilters for an entry form.
